Welcome to the new website of the Blackpalfrey Motor Club of Kent which has a fresh new look for promoting Blackpalfrey events and the benefits of club membership. It may seem rather empty at the moment but it should develop and fill up with reports and useful information as time goes on.
The old website hasn't yet been completely demolished, you can still access it for photo galleries, past regularity run results and reports etc. via this link.
A full complement of 12 cars started Blackpalfrey's annual venture into after-dark rallying, with a 45-mile route through 8 time controls on Friday 21st February. It was a round of the Weald MC 12-car Rally series and the majority of the entries came from the other Weald clubs.
John Fowler & Tom Ash took their second win of the current Winter Series on 5th January. Despite collecting a 200 second maximum penalty for missing an ITC on the second regularity, their Austin A40 Farina still won by 40 seconds from the SAAB 96 of Jeff Payne & Jon Stewart. The second placed crew found all of the controls, including four manned passage checks, but lost out with their looser timekeeping.
For various reasons only 9 cars started Dave Hughes's regularity run, which started from Tenterden and wove its way to Appledore and then across the Marshes to finish at the Botolph's Bridge Inn.
