Glorious Day for Hughes Rally
The 2009 Hughes Rally was run on Kent's hottest day of the year so far, with 58 cars tackling five regularity section and nine tests at Mereworth Woods, Newhouse Farm and Headcorn Aerodrome. Winners were James Griffiths/James Howell from Essex in their Mini 1275GT.

Winters win the Hassel Trophy
Winners of the Hughes Rally's Hassel Trophy for the Best Blackpalfrey crew were Steven and Chris Winter in their Volvo 144 with a commendable 4th place overall. Next best Blackpalfrey member was Charles Harrison who finished 23rd overall and would have been fastest overall on the tests in the Triumph 2000 had he not stalled the engine on the very last test.
Graham & Keith's May Madness Run - 10th May
A full 12 cars contested the last round of the Winter Series, with a first win for Ross Mercer/Colin Mackenzie in the Sunbeam Rapier. The full breakdown of results is >>HERE

New Blackpalfrey Rally Championship Announced
The Blackpalfrey Motor Club of Kent Ltd is pleased to announce a Club Championship for Rally Drivers and Navigators, commencing on 1st January 2009. Details are on the Club Championships page >>HERE We have tried to keep the ‘rules’ as simple as possible and hope this will encourage members to enter more events ‘outside their normal play area. If anyone has any comments regarding these 'rules' we would appreciate your views.

Hughes Rally Date Change - Now 24th May 2009
Due to the availability schedule of a certain popular venue, we have had to change to the date of the 2009 Hughes Rally, bringing it forward a week from its regular date.
Trevor and Simon's January Jaunt
The third round of the Blackpalfrey Winter Series was won by Ken Watts and Dave Hughes.
Chris Winter wins GoldCongratulations to Blackpalfrey's Chris Winter who has won a Gold Medal on LE JOG. He was driving the Winter Volvo 144, navigated by Charles Hamilton.
Second Round to Harrison too
This time with Chris Powis in the navigator's seat, Charles Harrison gained a second victory of the 2008/9 Winter Series on Dave Hughes' November 30th Regularity Run around Romney Marsh. Full results are >>HERE
First Round to Harrison
After the summer break, the new 2008/9 Winter Series commenced on Sunday 19th October. From a field of 10 cars, Charles Harrison, navigated by fellow Team Triumph driver Jonathan Hancox, dropped just 11 seconds over 10 timing points to take the first round win in the GT6.

Trevor Hawkins and Chris Winter are Winter Series Champions
Congratulations are due to Trevor Hawkins, the winning driver and Chris Winter, the winning navigator of the 2007/8 Winter Series. The Navigator's title was decided on the final round on 4th May. Full results of the championship can be found >>HERE
